A script is something that an Organizer prepares to help advocates interact with contacts. It typically identifies the advocate, shares information about the cause or campaign, and makes some kind of ask (for support, money, etc.).
Organizations can have different scripts for each of the Walk [link], Call [link], and Email [link] activities. Organizers can also allow advocates to customize the script using the editing features located above the script dialogue to help make sure the script reflects their voice. For instance, a precinct or part of town may have unique issues or context that may be helpful to share with contacts and may be worthwhile including in the script. When finished making changes to the script, click the Save button to accept the changes or the Cancel button to ignore them.
Depending on your Organizer's configuration, advocates may be able to further customize their script using features like Bold, Italicize, changing the justification, adding hyperlinks, and so on. These features can be found above the area containing the script:
If, for some reason, the script is accidentally changed or deleted, the script can be restored to its default state by clicking the Script reset link below the Script:
If the script is taking too much space or if the advocate has already familiarized him or herself with the script, it can be minimized by clicking the chevron button in the top-right corner of the script.
