Daily goals are a way for an advocate to measure both what they’d like to accomplish and their progress towards that goal. The default goal for a new user is 3 interactions a day with a new or existing contact. An Organizer can change that daily goal by assigning them a new rank that has a larger daily goal.
An Advocate's Daily Goal will show up as both a number and a meter on the top of their home page and their Walk, Call, and Email activity pages.
Daily goals influence the amount of contacts an advocate will see when using the Walk [link], Call [link], or Email [link] activities. If a user has the default goal of 3, they will typically see 3-5 contacts. Sometimes, in the case of a household with many people, all of the contacts might belong to the same household.
Contact records will display a star next to that contact record if it counts towards their Daily goal:
When an interaction has taken place with a contact and recorded in Cause + Connect's platform, the star will no longer be displayed against the contact's name:
Completing a daily goal does not prevent the advocate from continuing to engage more contacts. If they have interacted with all the contacts on their Walk [Link], Call [Link], or Email [Link] activity page, they can refresh the page or click on an activity button and they will have a new set of contacts while their goal should update as well.
The Above user has met their Daily Goal. The meter resets but still indicates that their goal has been met, and they can continue to use the Walk, Call, and Email activities and interact with contacts.
