An Organization is the entity that wants to engage people about a particular cause, issue, candidate, etc. Is it lead by an Organizer, which helps administrate the organization.
The Organization leverages Cause+Connect to help facilitate interactions between its advocates (supporters) and contacts (prospects). These interactions help raise awareness, identify supporters and new advocates, and can later be mobilized around specific organization activities or goals.
To be successful, an Organization needs advocates, people who the advocates will interact with (contacts), and a message or script [Link] to inform or persuade with. Advocates are the organization's most precious resource—without advocates using their time and energy interacting with prospective contacts, the organization will struggle to accomplish its mission. Cause+Connect was designed with this consideration in mind, and tries to lower the cost and barriers for advocates to participate by allowing them to participate when and where it suits them, by providing them the best contacts to engage with, an easy-to-use system, and options for how to engage (in-person (Walk) [Link], calls [Link], or emails [Link]).
The Organization can be large, like a national, regional or state association or advocate group, or small, like a neighborhood association or local group. Large organizations can setup sub-organizations [link] to help local groups and chapters better administer their local efforts. This saves the parent organization from administration burdens, and helps empower the local group who can use their own targets, message, training, and so on.
