Following up with contacts who have previously been interacted with, particularly if the prior interaction was logged with an “Undecided”, “Left Message”, “Email Sent”, or “Call Again” response, is a critical part of engagement. Cause+Connect assigns contacts to advocates once they have been interacted with in the hope that the same advocate can reach out to a contact as needed and, if possible, build a rapport or relationship over time.
If an Organizer has enabled Workflows, advocates will be alerted to any contacts that may need to be followed up with on their Cause+Connect Home page. They can click the relevant activity buttons to go straight to the contacts that require follow-up.
Even if the Workflow feature is not enabled, an advocate can always go to the Walk, Call, or Email activity pages and select the “My Interactions” list to view contacts that have been previously interacted with. There they can view prior interaction responses via the Interaction History button.
Note that the "My Interactions" list is active, not the "Goal Contacts" list, in the above image. All the contacts have a green prior interaction button, meaning that the contacts have been interacted with already, and the names lack a Daily Goal star next to them.
If searching is enabled, an advocate will see a section called "Search Contacts with Interactions" directly below the "My Interactions" button. Clicking on the chevron button will expand the search feature and provide the ability to search by name, contact information, age, ethnicity, and prior response result type. For instance, they can select a certain result type liked “Undecided” to view only contacts that have a prior interaction of Undecided. Any interaction with these contacts can be recorded normally via the Interaction button.
