The Walk activity [link] and Assigned Lists [link] that are designated as Walks, feature a map to help advocates locate the addresses and homes of their contacts.
The map has several buttons to help users:
1. Zoom In/Out button to help users orient themselves. Users can also use their mouse wheel or, on mobile devices, "pinch in our out" to zoom.
2. A print button to help print the current map screen
3. A Full-screen button to make the map larger. Hit the “Esc” button to return to the Walk Activity page from the Full-screen view.
4. A “Locate me” button (target icon) that will show the current location of the user. Note: The user may need to give their browser permission to use their location for this feature to work.
Depending on the zoom level and spacing between households, the map with either display “clusters” or pushpins for individual households. If zoomed out, a cluster might contain several or many different households in a general area. When zoomed in further, these clusters will become individual pushpins displaying individual households.
Clicking on a cluster will zoom in to display the households in that cluster. Clicking on a household pushpin will display the names of the contacts in that household, and a link to center the browser on those contacts on the contact list.
Individual contacts will also have a “Locate me” button (target icon) that can be used to center the map on that contact.
Note: the Locate Me button is used to identify where the advocate is on the Map by pressing the locate me button on the map. When pressing the Locate Me button associated with the Contact then the locate me button will place the contact on the center of the map.
